Ffion Llwyd-Jones

(Welsh Speaker)

The many working years I spent in Canada strengthened my core belief that optimism, self-belief, and a ‘can do’ attitude are fundamental to business success.

As a bilingual(Welsh/English)businessperson – now based back on the Isle of Anglesey – I am also deeply proud of my heritage. I believe that Wales-based businesses need to celebrate their uniqueness in a global marketplace.

My work experience includes business development, marketing, sales, and project management. I’ve trained and led sales teams in the field, developed editorial and production staff on business and trade magazines, and developed graduate mentorship programmes with an 80% success rate.

My core qualifications are in journalism, technical writing, marketing – and an in-progress BSc Hons from the Open University. I like to learn!

I’ve worked in large corporations, and with family businesses – and learned how each structure has its strengths and weaknesses.

I’ve used that knowledge to create my own, flexible business model. As a sole proprietor, I soon discovered the challenges of trying to be all things, all the time. My business now develops projects that can include work for other ‘creatives’, such as web designers, translators, and videographers. Not only do we learn from each other, we are stronger together and can provide our clients with a ‘one-stop-shop’ experience.

I think that we can all benefit from working and learning together. Throughout my life, I’ve been the recipient of exceptional mentoring – and I believe in paying that back.
