Raymond Worsnop

I became self employed at the age of 15 creating and running several small entrepreneurial businesses involving market trading, selling everything and anything I could. After many years of experience in the industry I felt I had developed my skills in market trading and retail to a level I was confident I could train others to be successful in trading on a market. Market trading is different from retail outlets as so much consideration goes into that actual day of trading. I began to train others to become successful in trading and soon built a a good reputation.

I took early retirement at the age 47 and at 60 years young decided I wanted to do more with life so I began volunteering at the CAB.

Two years later I started a new business, a social enterprise called RAW Training and this has since grown to be self sustainable. Working with unemployed people of all ages we support and train them to become successful and financially self reliant. I have a big stake in my community and through RAW Training I support charities and community first programmes.

My passion is photography and I find my newer business of photography to be taking me in directions I never thought it could. In 2007 I developed a book of photography. Self taught I now sell my work all over the world. In 2013 in conjunction with a poet in the USA I had my first book published.

I may not have had the qualifications to start with but with hard work, determination, communication and patience I have been able to achieve more than one would expect.
