Barcelona is recognised as one of Europe’s primary economic centres. The city has a highly diversified Commercial and Industrial ecosystems. As a port city, Barcelona has a long trading history with a thriving stock exchange and is a major international commercial and financial centre.
Spain is located in Southwestern Europe and borders France and Portugal. It is one of the biggest consumer markets in the EU and with a population of 46.4 million it provides a large consumer base for UK exporters to sell to. Spain is one of the top 10 largest trading partners of the UK. There is a demand for UK goods and services which UK businesses looking to export could benefit from.

The Welsh Government is supporting* companies to take part in this export market visit. This offer is available to one representative per company and the cost is £1,000. This includes:
- Return flights
- In-market transfers
- 5 night’s accommodation with breakfast
- Attendance at in-market events
- Inclusion in any marketing material

If you would like maximise your time at the event, we can offer support for a programme of 3-4 meetings to be arranged for you by one of our business consultants. This service is available from £500.
Please note, if you would like this support, then you must submit your application 10 weeks before the export market visit or exhibition departs.
If your application is submitted after 23 August 2024 then we cannot guarantee that there is there is sufficient time to effectively provide this additional support.
