Prior to retirement (in 2014) I was Managing Director of a medium size company in South Wales for 20+ years following a prior career in manufacturing and sales management roles and also including earlier senior finance roles (FCMA qualified).
I have extensive exporting experience both in Europe and the USA and have travelled widely in these markets and elsewhere globally.
My core skills reflect my varied career experience and I am able to communicate my practical knowledge for the benefit of SME management seeking to develop a business strategy, offering advice guidance and a “sounding board” for ideas.
I have good interpersonal skills and enjoy sharing the challenges faced and jointly working together seeking to problem solve and develop ideas.
Since retirement I have actively maintained my business involvement through Business Wales mentoring, personal business consultancy and sitting as a non executive board member of a UK national trade federation with 1500-+ member companies.
As a Welshman, I have a passion for the encouragement and development of businesses in Wales and tackle the challenges presented to me in a positive and pro active manner.
