Andy Carr

I mentor on a part-time basis in Wales and around my main role in the media industry based in London.   The energy in early-stage start-ups is infectious and where my advice can have the most impact.

Every business is unique, from chasing your first product launch to five star app ratings or good old fashion organic growth.  My experience has depth and breadth, selling products to the UK's biggest retailers and services to enterprise clients.   I've created e-commerce stores and set up logistics and manufacturing locations.   I've raised finance, attracted investors, struggled with the battle between organic growth and step changes in business planning and execution.

I've been successful, and I've failed.  Failing fast and learning quickly is one of the most important lessons to learn.   The best-laid plans always go wrong; having the skills, culture, DNA and resilience to tackle these defining moments is what will make you succeed.

Most of my career has been spent connecting product strategies or services to business needs, wants or constraints.  I have a strong background in consumer electronics, working right across the product life-cycles from cradle to grave.   Consumer products have evolved from physical objects to apps, infrastructure and backend services with integrations.  And the industry is growing once again to meet the challenges and seize the opportunities of the circular economy.   Every business needs a NetZero strategy; that's more than buying into a greenwashing strategy.

I have a wide and varied professional network of colleagues and industry professionals that I can leverage to help my clients.
