Welsh Government would like to invite your company to participate in its export market visit to Oslo, Norway.
Why Norway?
Norway is part of the Nordic and Baltic region and is the fourth‑largest country in Europe. It is a sophisticated, stable, and well‑established market with a long and trusted trading relationship with the UK.
Norwegian consumers are strong supporters of British brands and products. With high spending power, they expect high‑quality, well‑packaged, and competitively priced goods. The market is technologically and digitally advanced, and there is increasing interest in responsible consumption, health, and sustainability. Norwegians are also early adopters of new technologies.
The UK has signed a free trade agreement with Norway and its closest EEA neighbours, helping to facilitate smoother trade. Norway is easily accessible, with direct flights of around two hours, and English is widely spoken. Norwegians are familiar with and comfortable with UK culture, making business engagement straightforward.
There is strong demand across many sectors for UK‑manufactured products and services. Opportunities range from consumer products and environmental technologies to e‑vehicles, finance, medical and pharmaceutical goods, and physical and cyber security solution.
