I was born in Bournemouth, and moved up Llanelltyd in 1993 to retire. I attended a college here for Art and Design and then in 1999 I started up self employed as a fine artist.

I’ve got my own artwork practice where I draw and work to commission and do work for exhibitions. I do teaching and mentoring too. I have been a curate of exhibitions and I also do some gallery work.
The best thing is the ability to take a break when I want!
The freedom of it and not having to answer to anyone except myself.
When I achieve something I know that was down to me and it gives you a buzz. Especially if I’m working for commission, I have to aim to please the person who’s paying me.
