Lora Jen Pritchard

Pwllheli, Gwynedd

Lora Jen Pritchard is a dedicated agriculture student currently studying Level 3 Agriculture at Coleg Glynllifon. Growing up on a beef and sheep farm near Pwllheli, she has developed hands-on experience helping with a 150-head Pedigree Salers herd and a flock of Dorset sheep and manages her own Dutch Spotted sheep enterprise. Her enthusiasm for the industry is matched by her commitment to learning, both academically and practically.

An active member of the YFC for over five years, Lora has chaired her local club and twice been awarded ‘Junior Member of the Year’ for Eryri. Her communication skills have been honed through public speaking and writing competitions as well as community fundraising events.

Ultimately, Lora Jen aspires to study Agriculture and Business at Harper Adams University. Her dream is to one day return to Wales as a college lecturer, sharing her knowledge and continuing to drive innovation within Welsh agriculture.

Lora Jen was selected for the Junior Academy because of her clear ambition, leadership qualities, and proactive approach to improving farm practices, particularly her interest in genetics and the environment.

“I hope that the Agri Academy experience will give me a broader understanding of how farms across Wales and Norway operate, develop my confidence, and I look forward to building lasting connections with like-minded young farmers and inspiring business-people.
