A chartered surveyor and Fellow of the Central Association of Agricultural Valuers, Laura Evans graduated from Harper Adams University in 2021 with a BSc in Rural Enterprise and Land Management. She qualified in Pembrokeshire before returning home to Ceredigion, where she now combines professional surveying with working alongside her partner and his family to develop their beef and sheep farm.
Laura’s agricultural background is rooted in her family’s mixed dairy and beef enterprise, and she has had experience in relief milking, calf rearing, and managing her own commercial flock since 2014.
Professionally, through her role with a specialist rural consultancy, Laura advises clients across Wales on grants, valuations, tenancy law, planning, and rural property sales. A former participant of the Agri Academy Junior Programme, Laura currently chairs the Young Valuers section of CAAV; is vice chair of a West Wales property and construction club and a keen member and former chair of her local YFC.
“I hope to gain practical ideas and insight to bring back to the farm. Learning from others' experiences will be invaluable to the business. The Academy will also help us build connections and consider innovative approaches for sustainable growth.”
