The potential of poultry production as an additional income stream for beef, sheep or dairy farm businesses will be explored at a Farming Connect event.

ADAS poultry specialist Jason Gittins will discuss the feasibility of setting up a poultry unit as part of a livestock farm, focusing on free-range egg and indoor broiler production in particular. Livestock farmers can learn more about the practicalities of setting up and running a poultry unit, along with the infrastructure requirements. The financial and planning elements involved in setting up a new unit will also be discussed at the meeting.
