It is often difficult to visually detect heat in young heifers, which can lead to an extended calving pattern and additional veterinary costs for fertility and health treatments.
Join Farming Connect, Dr Iwan Parry from Milfeddygon Dolgellau Cyf and demonstration site farmers, Llion and Siân Jones to hear about project results following the introduction of bolus technology to aid heat detection in heifers at Moelogan Fawr, one of Farming Connect’s red meat demonstration sites. During the webinar, data gathered both visually and by the bolus, will be discussed in relation to conception rates, scanning and calving results.
In addition to discussing the project, general advice and recommendations on suckler herd fertility will be provided, as well as an opportunity to ask questions to the speakers.
