Melin Tregwynt is a family-run business that was established by my husband’s grandfather more than 100 years ago.  We design and weave traditional Welsh woollen textiles; there’s also a shop, café and bespoke design service on site.  Since I joined the business all aspects have grown and we now export as well as the UK designs and sales. We’re also developing online sales to complement our mail order business.

Amanda Griffiths - Melin Tregwynt

My degree was actually in English and History, and I worked at the Inland Revenue as a tax accountant before joining Melin Tregwynt.  Now I am involved in all aspects of the business, from design to personnel to financial management.
