  • Big Ideas Wales Enterprise Troopers - Are you an Enterprising primary school? Wales national primary school competition and showcase.
  • EESW - Providing 11 to 19 year olds with the opportunity to get hands-on experience working with industries, businesses and higher education, by providing them with the opportunity to work on real STEM projects. Includes primary activities, F1 in schools challenge, EESW sixth form project and Girls into STEM.
  • Virgin Money Make £5 Grow - Make £5 Grow gives youg people aged between 9 and 11 years old the experience of starting a small business using a £5 loan from Virgin Money.
  • Young Enterprise Fiver Challenge - a highly interactive, fun way of introducing financial education, enterprise and the world of work to primary school pupils as they aim to make as much profit as possible from £5 in four weeks
  • Bafta games - Young Game Designers - Games competition for 10-18 year-old aimed at creating opportunity + giving insight into the world of game making, as well as offering once-in-a-lifetime experiences with top game makers + industry professionals.
  • Big Ideas Wales Bootcamp to Business - If you’re aged 18 - 25, motivated, ambitious and raring to get your business off the ground, join Bootcamp to Business. A stimulating 2 day residential boot camp, guidance on all the business essentials. A full 12 month package of practical support, ideas and direction from leading Welsh entrepreneurs.
  • Carneige Trust Test Town - Towns and education providers make available their vacant spaces, training and support to young businesses to test out their ideas in pop-up shops in town centres.

  • NatWest Great British Entrepreneur Awards - acknowledges inspiring stories of British entrepreneurs and businesses in Great Britain and including Young Entrepreneur and Start up categories.
  • Pitch@Palace - guides, helps and connects Entrepreneurs and early-stage businesses with potential supporters, including CEOs, influencers, angels, mentors and business partners. Entrepreneurs are selected to participate in Pitch@Palace and are invited to attend Boot Camp. They receive support and guidance on how to develop and hone their Pitch, as well as support with investment, introductions and strategic guidance.
  • Prince's Trust Mosiac Enterprise Challenge - helps students (aged 11-16 years old) learn about establishing and running a business through an interactive business simulation game whilst building their confidence.
  • Shell Live Wire Smarter Future - monthly with the deadline for entries being midnight on the last day of each month. Open to new UK business owners aged 16-30 who have an idea that addresses the world’s future transport, food, energy, or natural resource challenges, or make our urban environments cleaner, healthier and more sustainable places to work and live
  • Shell LiveWire Young Enterprise of the Year Award - In order to be considered for the Shell LiveWIRE Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award, and the £25,000 funding and support that come with it, you must first win one of the monthly Shell LiveWIRE Smarter Future Awards.
  • Skills Competition Wales - Enterprise Challenge - The Inspiring Skills Excellence in Wales project delivers and promotes Skills Competitions in Wales on behalf of the Skills Ambassador Network, a group of training providers from across Wales that are committed to engaging and supporting competitors to achieve and succeed
  • The Ryman National Enterprise Challenge - a full day enterprise programme open to all secondary schools in the UK. Open to full year groups the challenge is split into two categories KS3 and KS4. Working in teams of six the students work on real life business challenges, which are set by real life businesses.
  • The Urdd & Menter a Business - Business innovator competition for young people aged 16-25 who have a new business idea and an interest in being self employed now or in the future.
  • UnLtd Do it Award - for those with an idea to address a social or environmental issue. Alongside award’s of £5,000 to build social ventures, UnLtd gives access to training and events, and assign a dedicated award manager.
  • UnLtd Grow It Award - for social entrepreneurs looking to grow their venture, make a bigger difference and become sustainable. Need to be running a social venture that is already making a positive difference to people's lives and have compelling evidence of the impact. This award of £15,000 is designed to help you to get to the next stage.
  • UnLtd Spaces for Change - a UK wide programme that will find, fund, support and connect young people aged 16-24 to start and run social ventures that unlock the potential of unused or under-utilised spaces for the benefit of the local community, especially other young people.
  • Wales Online Digital Awards/Digital Entrepreneur of the Year - recognise businesses and entrepreneurs making an outstanding contribution to the digital sector, 2018 categories included young digital person of the year and best digital start up.
  • Wales Start up Awards - recognise the achievements of the entrepreneurial individuals who have spotted the opportunity and taken the risks to launch a new product or service, and who are often the unsung heroes of the business community. This is an award ceremony that, is exclusively for start-ups only and includes a Young Entrepreneur of the Year Category.
  • Young Enterprise Company Programme - Running throughout one academic year and supported by a business advisor, students start their own business as a team make all the decisions about their enterprise, from deciding on the name and product to creating a business plan, managing the student company finances and selling to the public at trade fairs.
  • Young Enterprise Tenner Challenge - ages 11-19, national challenge, helping young people develop key skills including creativity, positivity, resilience and problem solving, using real money.
  • Young Enterprise Team Programme - designed to aid the transition from education into independent living for students with learning difficulties. Students develop confidence and vital life skills through working as a team to set up and run a business or social enterprise.

  • NACUE Varsity Pitch - business competition for students and recent graduates (within the last 5 years). Shortlisted applicants will be asked to pitch their ideas live at the semi finals in London. Six start-ups will then go on to compete to win £10,000 at the finals in Global Entrepreneurship Week.

  • Tranzfuser Talent Programme - delivered by UK Games Talent supplies a pipeline to enterprise and/or employment recognition for new UK games graduates, taking teams from concept and prototyping through to publishing.

The Plan level is designed for those who may have performed a reasonable level of research or possibly some level of testing for the idea or product.   • Social Business Awards Wales - One to watch catergory - Judges are looking for an innovative new social enterprise with an impressive initial impact and a strong vision for the future.
  • Social Enterprise UK Awards - recognise organisations for their business excellence and contribution to society, as well as the achievements of people working at the heart of the sector. All social enterprises can apply, and there are specific categories including one to watch for young entrepreneurs.
  • The Urdd & Menter a Business - Business innovator competition for young people aged 16-25 who have a new business idea and an interest in being self employed now or in the future.
  • UnLtd Do it Award - for those with an idea to address a social or environmental issue. Alongside award’s of £5,000 to build social ventures, UnLtd gives access to training and events, and assign a dedicated award manager.
  • UnLtd Grow It Award - for social entrepreneurs looking to grow their venture, make a bigger difference and become sustainable. Need to be running a social venture that is already making a positive difference to people's lives and have compelling evidence of the impact. This award of £15,000 is designed to help you to get to the next stage.
  • UnLtd Spaces for Change - a UK wide programme that will find, fund, support and connect young people aged 16-24 to start and run social ventures that unlock the potential of unused or under-utilised spaces for the benefit of the local community, especially other young people.
  • Wales Online Digital Awards/Digital Entrepreneur of the Year - recognise businesses and entrepreneurs making an outstanding contribution to the digital sector, 2018 categories included young digital person of the year and best digital start up.
  • Wales Start up Awards - recognise the achievements of the entrepreneurial individuals who have spotted the opportunity and taken the risks to launch a new product or service, and who are often the unsung heroes of the business community. This is an award ceremony that, is exclusively for start-ups only and includes a Young Entrepreneur of the Year Category.
