Aron Dafydd

Brought up on a dairy farm, Aron Dafydd went to study Agriculture at Aberystwyth University. During his time there he spent a year on a dairy farm in Shropshire before returning home to his family farm to help manage the dairy herd of holstein cattle.

Since then, he’s made some changes to the farm to improve efficiency. Two years ago he decided to change the system from calving throughout the year to calving in the Autumn and Spring. 

To create an additional income stream, Aron and his sister run a business selling milk through a local vending machine and also directly supply local businesses such as Angelato, Aberaeron and Contis, Lampeter.

As an active member of Bro Dderi YFC, Aron has undertaken many roles and participated in competitions such as public speaking.

Looking ahead, Aron would like to focus more on selling milk and dairy products. 

He believes that the Agri Academy will offer valuable learning and fresh ideas to develop his skills, the farm, and dairy business for the future.
