Lisa Eurgain Jenkins

Llanybydder, Ceredigion

Lisa, from Cwmsychpant, Llanybydder, is a fourth-generation farmer who is currently working on the family beef, sheep and dairy farm as well as working part time at another neighbouring dairy farm, having finished her studies at Coleg Sir Gar last year, securing a distinction in the extended diploma in Agriculture.

Lisa is an active member of Pontsiân YFC and enjoys public speaking, Eisteddfod competitions, and stock judging. She even represented Wales at the prestigious 2023 Yorkshire Show.

Being the fourth generation to farm the family farm, Lisa is particularly interested in the farm's longevity and long term sustainability and is keen to develop ways to secure the farm’s future. With this in mind, Lisa is keen to invest in the farm’s infrastructure, adapt to new technologies and be more mindful of the farm’s carbon footprint and productivity whilst always keeping animal welfare as a priority.

Lisa is excited to connect with like-minded young Welsh farmers to address the challenges facing the industry as well as to learn more about different farming systems across the country and further afield.

Lisa’s skills aren’t limited to the farm yard as she was honoured to be invited to guest commentate alongside Ifan Jones Evans on the S4C coverage of the Royal Welsh Winter Fair last year.
