Garmon Powys Griffiths

Garmon Griffiths is a sixth-generation farmer’s son whose family farm near Machynlleth. He has a passion for agriculture, particularly livestock and farm machinery. He combines helping at home with student life and is in the second year of a machinery and agriculture course at Coleg Glynllifon.
Always keen to gain new skills and learn from others, he enjoys visiting other farms to experience different systems and gain fresh ideas. He has had work experience at an RSPB farm during lambing; milking and general farm work at a dairy unit and especially enjoyed maintaining and repairing farm machinery for a local farm services business. “Be reliable, effective and always punctual” is his mantra!
Garmon loves travelling and has visited several European countries on holidays and through the YFC. A fluent and confident Welsh speaker and a willing fundraiser and volunteer for causes in his community, Garmon is also an active member of his local YFC. He won the Junior Speaker cup in 2023 and represented Montgomeryshire in a national YFC competition.
