Tudur Evans

Welshpool, Powys

Living on the family farm in Llangadfan, Powys, Tudur Evans was a pupil at ysgol Llanfair Caereinion before moving onto Coleg Glynllifon, Grŵp Llandrillo a Mennai. Perfectly combining Tudur’s enjoyment of mechanics and agriculture, he is currently studying Agricultural Engineering and despite already fulfilling the core work experience hours for his course, Tudur has continued to work for Teme Valley Tractors as he is eager to take advantage of all the experience on offer.

When Tudur hasn’t got his hands dirty, he enjoys his time as a member of Dyffryn Banw Young Farmers Club (YFC) and regularly participates in activities and competitions on a county and national level. Over the years Tudur has also been a keen competitor at Eisteddfodau taking part individually and as part of a group.

Above all, Tudur thrives form spending time in the shed at home and is delighted doing mechanical repairs and completing his own personal projects. At present, his focus is channelled on rebuilding a Massey Ferguson 35x. In the future, Tudur hopes that the skills he has developed through his work will lead to a career in engineering, with the aim of someday running his own business.

“I’m hoping to gain numerous different experiences during my time with the Agri Academy and am looking forward to meeting new people from across Wales. Through sharing these new opportunities with others I intend to develop my skillset and confidence and discover the key to running a successful business in the future.”
