Rhiannon James is the Farming Connect development officer for North Pembrokeshire. It’s a role she combines with being a farmer’s wife, mum to three children, and helping out with day-to-day farming duties.
Rhiannon grew up on her family’s dairy farm in Llawhaden. For the past few years, she combined her former role as a specialist technical journalist with Farming Connect and helping out at her husband’s mixed dairy and suckler beef farm in Merlin’s Bridge, near Haverfordwest, before being appointed as a development officer.
“My role is to signpost farmers and foresters to the many Farming Connect services and projects which have all been designed to help transform business efficiency and productivity.
“It is vitally important to ensure that rural businesses take full advantage of the support that’s available to them to ensure they remain resilient and sustainable in the years to come.”
