Remove the roadblocks which might be keeping you from getting the most out of your social media marketing – Farming Connect’s fully funded social media training workshops, delivered by Lantra Wales approved training providers, will pave the way!

In some more traditional farming families, the idea of using social media for marketing purposes is often either dismissed completely or treated with scepticism!  For many others, integrating digital platforms such as Facebook, Twitter and Instagram into their digital marketing strategy has significantly helped increase visibility of the brand or product and boosted sales.

Farming Connect is urging eligible farm and forestry businesses to sign up for a social media marketing workshop which should leave you with fresh ideas and the know-how to fine tune your social media activities and get the results you’re after.

Director of Lantra Wales, Kevin Thomas says learning how to promote your brand, service or produce on social media platforms could be one of the most cost-efficient and effective ways of reaching your target audiences.

“Knowing how to utilise social media platforms has transformed the way many farm and forestry businesses promote diversified ventures, such as tourist accommodation, farm shops and cafes through to poultry, forestry and horticulture enterprises.

“Some businesses will find they can link their social media activities and drive customers back to their websites, while for others a Facebook or Instagram presence, which is very easy to set up and update with short, sharp messages and promotional photos or videos, might obviate the need for a website,” said Mr. Thomas.

Taking place at venues around Wales this autumn, each two-hour session will explain the basic capabilities of the key social network platforms before the focus switches to teaching you how you can create your own tailor-made digital marketing strategy and use social media to successfully engage with both existing and potential customers.

You will also learn about low-cost social media advertising strategies that will be appropriate for all businesses, from small or niche enterprises right through to those operating on a larger scale.

“We hope that these workshops will dispel any myths that social media marketing is complicated and that social media advertising may not be the best use of a marketing budget,” said Mr. Thomas.

As spaces are limited to a maximum of 50 eligible individuals who will need to be registered with Farming Connect, you are advised to book as soon as possible to be assured of a place.

Each workshop will run from 4pm – 6pm
