Farming Connect have organised ‘Preparing for Lambing’ events with well-known sheep specialist, John Vipond. Following favourable weather conditions over the last 12 months, ewes should be in good condition to face the winter months leading up to lambing.

Nutritional requirements of ewes, feed quality and value for money from compounds, prevention and treatment of metabolic diseases will be discussed as well as the importance of colostrum, labour saving tips at lambing,  hygiene and routines to minimise problems at lambing (hypothermia, joint ill, watery mouth and so on) and health issues affecting performance.
