Want to build a more sustainable and profitable dairy business? Farming Connect are inviting farmers to a series of on-farm events – ‘Powering Your Future with technology and renewable energy – What is the Real Return on Investment?’
These events will take place at three locations across Wales addressing the evolving landscape of energy and technology in dairy farming. Experts Conor Hogan from Teagasc Moorepark, and Jonathan Sandercock from NFU Energy, will share practical solutions and real-world returns on investment examples to help you navigate the future.
What will be covered?
Finding the Real Return of Investment in technology: The dairy technology and Artificial Intelligence sectors are experiencing rapid progress, presenting a multitude of options. But which specific installations will maximise profitability for your dairy unit? Based on his recent research in Ireland, Conor will share valuable insights and explore how technology can potentially enhance fertility, boost production, improve animal health and address metabolic issues, alongside making improvements in labour efficiency.
Unpacking Energy Usage and Renewable Opportunities: Facing the significant challenge of increasing energy costs, we will explore methods to reduce your farm’s energy consumption and outgoings. NFU Energy will present key findings from a recent Farming Connect project analysing energy usage on Welsh farms, alongside a discussion of diverse solutions and the advantages of renewable energy technologies.
By attending one of these events, farmers will learn how to boost profits and sustainability by investing in the right technology and renewable energy options.
