To find out more about how horticulture can help people create sustainable businesses from small areas of land, join Farming Connect at their ‘Living off ten acres’ roadshows.

From small scale hydroponics systems producing crops such as niche herbs, early and late season strawberries and salad leaves the three events will also focus on cultivating mushrooms, edible flowers, specialist berries and high value vegetables. Potential growers and farmers considering community growing opportunities can learn more about establishing orchards and vineyards, and the events will also explore market demands and trends and potential supply chain models.

The events will take the form of an interactive workshop to facilitate sharing of ideas and a number of expert guests will discuss topics such as current opportunities in the horticulture sector and real-life experiences of developing horticulture enterprises.
