Bryn Perry, a first generation tenant and sheep dairy farmer in Pembrokeshire shares the insights gathered by the Agri Academy on a study visit to the Basque region of Spain. Get a glimpse of a Basque dairy farm and their technology, sheep dairy, the traditional method of cheese making, a vineyard and the precise process of swine making in the region and hydro technology, all taking place in this region.

The similarities in landscape and climate of this Spanish region meant that many of the farming practices were applicable and possible to implement on farms in Wales.

Governmental support in the Basque to encourage New Entrants and developing agri businesses within the region was prominent and enabled many of the farming businesses to adopt good use of equipment and technology for efficiency and ensure a good work life balance.
