Growing for the Environment is a new grant scheme available to farmers in Wales. It aims to support the growing and utilisation of crops, which can result in improvements in the environmental performance of a farm business.

Join Farming Connect for further information on the support available for you through the Growing for the Environment scheme. The scheme will encourage the growing of crops and pastures, such as protein crops, mixed leys, unsprayed cereals, and cover crops, which provide environmental, biodiversity and production benefits. Two application windows will open in 2022 – Autumn sown crops will open on 20 June and will offer support for the sowing of an unsprayed cover crop following autumn cereal or maize harvesting.
