Llio Morris

LLŶN AND SNOWDONIA 

Llio Haf Morris is the Farming Connect development officer for Llŷn and Eryri and is covering Mali Dafydd's maternity period.

Llio farms with her husband Elgan and their two children on a beef and sheep tenancy farm in Cwmpenaner, near Cerrigydrudion. They have a flock of Welsh mountain sheep and a small herd of pedigree Hereford suckling cows. 

Llio is very active in her local community, a councilor on the Cerrigydrudion Community Council and treasurer of Cylch Meithrin Cerrigydrudion. She was a very keen member of YFC where she was Senior Member and Chair of Clwyd as well as carrying out a number of positions in her local club, Clwb Uwchaled.

After gaining a BSc degree in Agriculture and Business from Aberystwyth University, Llio has been very interested in helping farmers with their farm paperwork and she’s been busy working for herself going around farms helping them with the paperwork. After having children, Llio went to work for Dunn & Ellis Ltd Accountant in Porthmadog and gained a MAAT qualification in accountancy.

Now, she has come back to work in the Agricultural sector with great enthusiasm to help the farmers of Llŷn and Eryri to get as much help and advice as possible to ensure that their businesses perform at their best by taking advantage of all the services and projects available through Farming Connect. This is more important than ever at the moment and it is essential that farmers take advantage of all Farming Connect services, which range from financial and business planning, improving soil quality and animal health along with a very large number of courses to increase and expand on your qualifications.

Llio also facilitates beef and dairy sector discussion groups. These give farmers a good opportunity to compare their farms with other farms in their local area to see how they are performing and what can be improved, it is also a good opportunity to share ideas and help each other through any problems that arise.
