Management and availability of natural and semi-natural areas are vital for maintaining and improving biodiversity levels across Wales. High biodiversity levels are associated with a range of ecosystem services, including reducing emissions, pollination and managing pests and diseases, to name just a few. As such, being able to identify the semi-natural habitat areas you have on your land and understand the basic considerations for each habitat type is an important starting point.
