Livestock Tracking and monitoring technology trial

This project aims to combat livestock theft by testing equipment for farmers, ranging from single solutions to hybrid deterrent and alerting systems. It will identify and deploy suitable identification and tracking technologies, engage Welsh farmers in trials, and coordinate input from various stakeholders including police, technology providers, and agricultural organisations. It aims to reduce livestock loss, deter future theft attempts, and provide resources to improve the financial stability and mental well-being of farm businesses affected by theft, thereby increasing overall farm efficiency and profitability.
