Good infrastructure on livestock farms can improve access to grass, allowing stock to be grazed for longer, which can help keep production costs down. Higher production costs are often associated with housed stock and there are also higher environmental risks.

At Trawscoed, Aberystwyth, a Farming Connect Innovation Site, where water infrastructure has presented a challenge, careful investment will not only make water use more efficient, but also revolutionise grazing access. Join Farming Connect for technical discussions and a farm walk focussing on tracks, troughs and fencing. Martin Davies, of Trawscoed Farm, will talk about the infrastructure changes at Trawscoed and plans for the future, and Noel Gowan, of Grasstec will discuss good grazing infrastructure and using spring rotation planners.
