1. Relevance and Purpose (20%) – 20 points

  • Clear Goals: Does the project clearly identify a specific environmental or sustainability challenge? Are the goals well-defined and focused on creating a positive impact?
  • Environmental Significance: How relevant is the project to current environmental issues or to the local ecosystem?

2. Environmental Impact and Outcomes (25%) – 25 points

  • Tangible Impact: What measurable outcomes did the project achieve in terms of improving environmental or sustainability conditions? For example, did it reduce waste, conserve resources, or promote biodiversity?
  • Sustainability and Longevity: Is the project designed to have long-term benefits for the environment? Are there plans to continue or expand it in the future?

3. Pupil Engagement and Collaboration (20%) – 20 points

  • Involvement and Responsibility: How actively did pupils participate in the project, taking responsibility and ownership of its implementation?
  • Community Engagement: Did the project involve collaboration with local community members, organisations, or environmental groups? Was there an effort to educate or involve others?

4. Creativity and Innovation (15%) – 15 points

  • Innovative Approach: Does the project use creative or novel approaches to tackle the chosen environmental issue? Are there original ideas or solutions in its design?
  • Problem-Solving: How effectively did the project address challenges and find innovative solutions to environmental obstacles?

5. Pupil Learning and Development (10%) – 10 points

  • Skills and Knowledge: What environmental knowledge or skills did pupils gain through the project? Did they learn about topics such as recycling, conservation, or renewable energy?
  • Growth and Reflection: Can pupils reflect on what they’ve learned and the importance of their contribution to environmental sustainability?

6. Presentation and Communication (10%) – 10 points

  • Clarity and Engagement: How clearly and effectively do pupils present the project’s purpose, process, and impact?
  • Inspiration and Reach: Does the project inspire others within the school or local community to adopt more sustainable behaviours or take action?

Social / Community Impact - 100 points

  • Community Relevance: How relevant is the project to the local community or society at large?

2. Community Engagement and Involvement (20%) - 20 points

  • Participation and Collaboration: Did pupils involve the community or other groups in their efforts? Was there engagement with parents, local organisations, or community leaders?
  • Inclusivity: Does the project demonstrate inclusivity, ensuring that all community members are welcome and able to participate?

3. Creativity and Innovation (15%) - 15 points

  • Unique Approach: Does the project show a creative or innovative approach to addressing the chosen issue?
  • Problem-Solving: Are there unique strategies or solutions that make the project stand out?

4. Impact and Outcomes (25%) - 25 points

  • Tangible Results: What measurable impact did the project have on the community or issue it addressed? Are there clear outcomes?
  • Sustainability: Has the project been designed with long-term positive effects in mind? Will the impact continue after the project ends?

2. Problem-Solving and Innovation (20%) - 20 points

  • Creative Solutions: Are there inventive solutions that showcase original thinking or new approaches to common challenges?

3. Design and Execution (15%) - 15 points

  • Quality and Attention to Detail: How well-crafted and thoughtfully designed is the final product or presentation?
  • Use of Materials and Techniques: Do pupils use resources in an innovative or unconventional way? Is there an effective combination of techniques and materials?

4. Pupil Engagement and Enthusiasm (15%) - 15 points

  • Involvement and Ownership: How actively involved were pupils in the idea-generation, design, and execution of the project? Do they show a strong sense of ownership?
  • Passion and Enthusiasm: Is there clear excitement and engagement in the project? Do pupils display a love for the creative process?

5. Impact and Functionality (15%) - 15 points
