I am a ‘solopreneur’ managing various business portfolios within the intersection of Business and Property. My experience across the last decade has led me to develop a hybrid consultancy &social estate agency, focused on transforming unloved buildings into mixed use flexible spaces, bringing together people, property and purpose. I am also a qualified business coach working with different types of business owner sat various stages of growing their business.

I started one of my first businesses, Revue Studios, after moving back from London with a passion for choreography in my early 20’s. I wanted to offer the same opportunities to creatives based in Swansea. Starting out with an aspiration to create a dance studio, it quickly became a thriving city centre arts and business hub. It was one of the first co-working spaces in Swansea (a service that was really missing in the city at that time), and it attracted international clients. This space allowed me to support make-up artists, videographers, photographers, dancers, freelancers and businesses - by providing space, collaborative opportunities and independent business support to grow their business.

The demand for this led to me starting a cluster of bolt-on businesses, including strategic business transformation, space commercialisation, female founder networks, retail and events.

While I was living in London, I was inspired by buildings and spaces that support talent. When I moved back to South Wales, I felt frustrated by a lack of facilities and opportunities available. So I set about doing what I could to create change. Since then, I have supported hundreds of start-ups, and sparked new ventures and collaborations.

With this came the opportunity to work with Big Ideas Wales to share my business journey with aspiring young entrepreneurs. Through this experience, I have now added speaking and workshops to my portfolio of services.

Yes, there have been lots of problems with buildings… and seagulls damaging buildings!

I shall write a book about it one day!

Developing various studio properties was a particularly stressful and challenging time.

I have transformed the problems I experienced into the knowledge that powers my consultancy service.

I use this knowledge to help businesses, landlords and agents occupying space -particularly in and around our high streets - overcome these barriers.

I love connecting people with purpose at the right place and the right time, building networks and communities of like-minded people… all doing what they love!

I appreciate the variety that my work brings me each day, whilst creating things that I wish existed!

One of the best things about being my own boss is being able to work on projects that really matter to me, with other (nice!) people who care about making an impact. I thrive on the freedom that being my own boss allows me.

I have lots of ideas that I’d like to develop, including a clothing line of funky office wear for women.

So, as they say… watch this space!
