I have been a weather presenter for twenty four years on S4C and still enjoy the challenge of the job to this day. As well as presenting the weather, I continue to work as a cameraman and a director every now and again and I am extremely busy leading, hosting, presenting and chairing conferences, award ceremonies events and exhibitions. Recently, I walked the path of the Incas in Peru; this was a lifelong ambit ion and an unforgettable experience.
Accept and seek advice from various people and organisations. Enjoy and go for it!
Chris Jones - Chris tywydd Jones
I have been working with two goods companies in Wales by designing and producing a wide range of household products on the theme 'The Weather'. I also launched a clothing range for young children at the Urdd Eisteddfod of which I am very proud of. I was born and bred in Aberaeron, in west Wales, near the sea and so the weather has been a great interest since my childhood. After leaving Aberaeron Secondary school, I trained as a cameraman, travelling the world working for companies, corporations and various channels. During this period I had the opportunity to work in front of the camera and embraced the experience.
I always wanted to be my own boss, to have a balance between family and work accurately. I love the freedom that it entails, that I am responsible for my own self-management and the creation and development of ideas and possibilities.
I would like to offer my experiences and creative and practical ideas to young people, to inspire and encourage them not to follow the well-known path every time. There are always options and various opportunities in life.
