Dawn Davies - Ajuda Training 

The director of this company is Dawn Evans, who was motivated to create the business by her daughter who, at the age of two, had a choking incident. This made Dawn realise how important it was for people to learn First Aid, especially mothers. Today, it is still her daughter, along with her Father and encouraging thanks from clients which keeps her inspired.

Her initial idea was to run First Aid training courses in Cardiff, but today her company runs around twenty different courses and also trains others nationwide. Looking ahead, she hopes that her company will become a stronger UK wide brand and perhaps be training others internationally in places such as the Middle East.

Looking back, if there was anything that she could have done differently, Dawn says that she would have been more careful in getting the right work-life balance as during her first year in business she was snowed under with work. She says she is now more focused on what is important and enjoys all aspects of her job, especially being the main decision maker and the flexibility she has to be a working mother
