Dwynwen joined ATOM as co-director in 2005, coming from an information management background. Starting her career in the late 1990s as project manager on schemes aimed at increasing the use of ITC in business (and accelerating the availability of broadband internet access) gave her an appreciation of communications in all its forms. It also led to her ‘early-adopter’ attitude to social media and an expertise in conducting global campaigns. Her career highlight to date was to manage the international We Want Peace campaign for humanitarian Emmanuel Jal, a multi-faceted stakeholder engagement project involving everything from public affairs at an international level to celebrity endorsement and media liaison, gaining coverage for the client on every single continent and in over 10 languages.
Dwynwen has a degree in Law, a Masters in Information and Library Studies and a CIPR Postgraduate Diploma in PR. Her main passion, undoubtedly, is music (mainly hip hop, soul and afrobeats) and when she is not decorating her brand new house she enjoys attending as many music industry events as possible and provides mentoring and support to British and African artists.
