Helen Rhiannon is an award winning fashion design business specialising in creating unique, original and beautifully fitted outfits for weddings and special occasions. Helen Gill has previously worked on gowns for Katherine Jenkins and BBC Cardiff Singer of the World finalist, Natalya Romaniw, she takes pride in every bespoke item designed and made, whatever the occasion.

Make mistakes, ask people for help and advice and go with your gut instinct. If you enjoy something or are good at something it makes life a lot easier and much more fun. Talk about your idea and have confidence in what you do. Do not compare yourself to others too much although we are all guilty of that!

As well as currently exclusively stocking the Rachel Burgess Bridal Boutique in Penarth, Helen also runs the All Sewn Up Sewing Workshops in Swansea and South Wales where there are a variety of workshops on offer.

Helen fell into setting up her own business when agreeing to sell her graduate fashion collection to a local retailer. She worked with a local designer and felt that she could do what they were doing and had her own ideas of how she could do it. She is an opportunist and from here, went for it and set up the label.

She explains that her parents have always been incredibly supportive and that she has them to thank for supporting and encouraging her throughout her career.

Today, the element Helen loves most about being her own boss is the independence and the personal satisfaction she feels when someone has had a fantastic experience, whether at a workshop or wearing a Helen Rhiannon dress down the aisle.
