I started my entrepreneurial journey in primary school where I would sell my old toys to class mates, this then progressed to selling sweets in high school, I was never very confident in primary school or in high school, I struggled in subjects such as English writing and reading and foreign languages.
I went to do a foundation year in Mechanical Engineering in University. It was hard and I actually failed my first year maths which I later passed. I went on to spent some time in industry designing Hot Air Balloon burners (flamethrowers: p ) and later I won the 2015 national Institute of Mechanical Engineers robot design competition in London, I was against some of the top students in the country. I later finished my degree with a First Class Honours.
During my time in formal education I never stopped to push my passion for business and entrepreneurship, I joined a network marketing company where I learnt the importance of self-development (and that I can say has definitely been life-changing). I then built a log cabin holiday let business in North Wales during University, which has been fully booked since its launch in December 2018.
During the process of building my holiday let business a very large tree fell on the roof, just after I had replaced it. It was one of the first lessens I learnt. If a tree falls on you, chop it up, and use it to fuel you to move forward…
I then progressed to become the Co-founder of Explorage.co.uk. An online platform which enables customers to easily find, compare, reserve and manage self-storage.
During the beginning of Explorage.co.uk, I learnt more about digital marketing. I now have another successful company called HDC Projects which provides efficient marketing strategies to other business too.
