I set up my business after careers in teaching, training and an internet company.  I wanted to make a change in my life, to take a risk and do something different, to work for myself rather that someone else.  I was inspired by Guy Watson – farmer of the year and ethical business of the year – and took out a franchise in his company, Riverford Home Delivery. We started in Monmouthshire but then bought up the Cardiff and Newport franchises.

It was hard to begin with as the recession and some poor weather had an impact.  But I feel I’ve improved every week and become more effective as a business.  I’d now like to see steady growth, ideally a 5-10% every year.
