I have been running Fabulous Welshcakes for 10 years. Before I started the business, I worked for the Welsh Assembly Government as a freelance consultant through Howel Food Consultancy. Over a period of about 5 years I was lucky enough to work on many events, promoting Welsh food and drink around the world. It is this passion for locally made, honestly produced, good quality food which led me to start my own business. I now employ a team of 15 welshcake makers and retailers and we are cooking and selling welshcakes 7 days a week from our store in Cardiff Bay. We also make corporate welshcake gifts for many business customers, sometimes by the tens and other times by the thousands and have supplied some very prestigious events, including making the welshcakes for the 3 NATO summit dinners last year. I am very driven, work hard and enjoy the challenges that running my own business provides .... well..... most of them!
