In a nutshell:
Neurodiversity Consultant, Trainer and Counsellor
Sectors:
Care Services
Region:
Conwy

I am a neurodiversity trainer and consultant and the founder of The Cooking Counsellor workshops; celebrating and supporting those who are neurodiverse to build their own life recipes for success, emotionally, socially and professionally.

I help organisations understand and support the diverse needs, and strengths, of their employees and customers who have different ways of thinking and learning.

I provide coaching and mentoring for neurodivergent individuals who want to start and grow their own businesses.

I’m a published author, artist, poet and public speaker – let’s get creative!!

I have worked with additional needs charities and organisations for over 35 years, providing national, bespoke childcare solutions for their clientele. I was diagnosed with Autism and ADHD at the age of 52 which explained, not only my ‘pattern thinking talents’ but also my struggles and challenges with the everyday tasks / interactions that others seem to find so easy.

As a qualified counsellor and matriarch to a neuro-spicy household (including Tigger, the counselling cuddle cat!) I diverted my knowledge and skills to create The Coaching Den 4 Life – designing visual, interactive workshops on various aspects of neurodiversity that enable the participants to walk away with practical toolkits to help their clientele.

Advice:

  • Find your passion: What are you good at? What do you enjoy doing? What problem do you want to solve? What difference do you want to make?
  • What are your strengths? How can you use them to your advantage? What are your challenges? How can you work around them? Celebrate your achievements, your differences and be the change you want to see in the world.
