In 1980, I set up Carreg Gwalch Press in Llanrwst, which remains one of the busiest publishers in Wales and the printing house for the needs of the surrounding areas. In 2006, my wife, Llio, and I opened and art gallery – Tonnau – in Pwllheli and in 2011 I was one of the 12 directors who set up Cwrw Llŷn.

Not everything is sweetness and light in business. Sometimes you have to be willing to work from unsuitable places and work long hours. But in spite of that, being my own boss does give me the freedom to organise my work and the pleasure of seeing the finished product.
