In a nutshell:
E-commerce platform for merchandising the independent music industry
Sectors:
Creative Services
Region:
Vale of Glamorgan

I’ve always run businesses ever since I graduated. I’ve also always loved music, and set up Dizzyjam when I saw a gap in the market.  Basically it’s an e-commerce platform for merchandising the independent music industry – in other words making it easy for bands, DJs and record labels to sell, and make money from, their t-shirts, hoodies, mugs and bags. We currently represent more than 9,000 artists, and have 17,000 products for sale via our site.

Do it now – learn while you’re young and have fewer time and financial pressures.  You’ll learn lots, and in a relatively risk free way

Neil Cocker - Dizzyjam

My first year in business was chaotic, but brilliant.  I was still very young and didn’t have many financial pressures then, so we just concentrated on making great music and having fun.  It’s sometimes been difficult creating a consistent, sustainable income, and during the recession it was difficult getting enough investment.
