Do not let a lack of money stop you from starting something. If you have a good idea, do your research, take that leap of faith, because if the direction is right and you approach it with passion, it will not take you long to fly!

Nicola Hemsley - Organised Kaos Youth Circus Ltd

The founder of this extraordinary company is Nicola Hemsley, who was motivated to start her own business after she returned to her home village. After living and working all over the world, she realised that young people were still facing the same challenges that she had faced from growing up in the village. However, creating opportunities for others is exactly what she now loves most about being her own boss; she loves the ethical stance of the business, as she set it up to favour the people involved and her community.

Nicola’s grandparents where her greatest inspiration when starting up the business, she explains that they instilled into her the attitude of ‘if you don’t do it, who will?’ which has been the basis for most of the decisions she has made throughout her journey.

In five to ten years time, Nicola hopes that her business will be fully sustainable and will have a state of the art, sustainable circus training space for professionals and young people alike in the valleys of South Wales and the surrounding areas.
