Born in Llanberis and now a resident at LLanfairpwll with my family – I guess it’s true to say that North Wales, its scenic backdrop, terrain and people are very important to me.

My passion for graphic design has flourished since my University days and since I graduated from Cardiff and Swansea with a degree in Graphic Design. In the early days I used to juggle presenting for BBC Radio Cymru (for over 10 years) and then with my own radio program, whilst establishing my own business, CREAD Cyf .

Being entrepreneurial, to me, means that you learn many skills in many fields and quite possibly at the same time!

CREAD Cyf is a combination of graphics, branding and media work. What I really love about my job is the diversity of it all. One day I could be working on a documentary series for ITV; documentaries such as ‘The Village’ - Portmeirion) or ‘The Mountain’ (Snowdon). Then, the following day I could be designing a logo or a leaflet from my desk in the morning and filming up a mountain by the afternoon!

Being your own boss, give you that flexibility and control over what you want to do with your workday.

When I’m not working or being a Role Model for Big Ideas Wales, these are just a few other things that take up my time:

  • I’m one of the organisers for the International Snowdon Race (part of the community Group)
  • I’m also one of the organisers for the Llanfairpwll 5km community event, raising funds for local charities
  • I help with organising the 6th trail
  • Coach for the Local under 10’s football team
  • A member of the school governors Llanfairpwll Primary School
  • Vice Chairman of the Llanfairpwll Community Council

I’ve found that it pays to be busy and it pays to know a mix of people from all sorts of background; as you never know when you can help each other out in the future.
