After school I did an engineering apprenticeship, then lots of different jobs – from mechanic and door to door salesman, ice cream man to demolition worker. I eventually set up my own small construction company, but it was unsuccessful. This taught me some valuable lessons so that when I set up my current wall and floor tiling business I was able to embrace it fully.

Running my own company gives me a great deal of freedom to spend time with my large family, and pursue my hobbies. I know that if I fail it’s because of the decisions I’ve made, but if I succeed, again, it’s down to me.
