  • 46 years’ experience in providing advice to farmers and growers.
  • I was brought up on a farm and worked on it and others so have a really good understanding of the practical aspects of agriculture. 
  • I have worked with several businesses for over 30 years and as a result have an excellent understanding of different generations aspiration, skills and how these need to be managed to achieve a successful business.

  • Excellent understanding of the technical aspects of livestock and crop production systems. As well as what is required for businesses to be financially successful and viable.

As well as the challenges from changes to legislation (reducing government support and need to reduce Diffuse water pollution form agriculture) and to meet climate change targets.

  • I have helped Defra and WG develop policies and as a result have a good understanding of what their priorities are.
