Dylan Jones is an enthusiastic and active farmer's son who has set up a Hobbit House hospitality business on the family farm.

After graduating from Aberystwyth University with a degree in Agriculture and Countryside Management, Dylan decided to return to the family’s sheep and cattle farm. He successfully gained his own farm tenancy. In addition to this he worked on a nearby farm part time and in 2023 the opportunity came to rent that farm as well, therefore further expanding his business.

In 2021 the family decided to diversify and set up a Hobbit House hospitality business. The business has been very successful and won the Sykes Holiday Cottages Overall Winner of UK & Ireland’s Best Holiday Let for 2022. A father of three, Dylan's main objective is to make sure they have a future on the farm. He has made sure that facilities are available to be able to build more hobbit houses if further expansion is needed one day.

The next project he has in mind is to build an electricity generation system in the form of hydro, with the aim of reducing the farm's costs and bringing in additional income.

He believes that the Agri Academy will give him the opportunity to see different agricultural systems that will help him develop his current business.
