Lucy Eyre
Welshpool, Powys
Lucy Eyre is a first-generation female tenant farmer, veterinary surgeon and young mum. She has carved out a resilient and values-driven farming business from the ground up. Relocating in 2020 to a 125-acre intensively managed lowland farm in Wales, she embraced regenerative principles to revitalise depleted soils and build a thriving mixed livestock enterprise. Today, she runs the farm single-handedly, managing pedigree sheep, beef cattle and pigs with a strong focus on sustainability, biodiversity, and animal welfare.
With over a decade of experience as a practicing vet, Lucy brings a unique blend of scientific knowledge and practical skills to her farming. She is also relaunching a direct-to-consumer meat business, keen to provide high-quality, ethically produced food to retail and private customers. Her social media channels offer an honest insight into life on a regenerative farm, inspiring others and promoting transparency in food production.
Lucy hopes the Agri Academy will help her build knowledge, networks, and confidence to scale up her business and secure its long-term future.
“I’m keen to develop innovative ways to market my produce, strengthen farm profitability, and contribute to a nature-friendly, resilient food system.
“Connecting with like-minded individuals and industry experts through the Agri Academy will provide motivation, support and collaboration opportunities.”
