Math Emyr William

Llannefydd, Conwy

Emyr, is from Llannefydd, Conwy and is the youngest of four brothers. He juggles his studies for his GCSEs at Ysgol Glan Clwyd with helping out on the family beef and sheep farm and working on a local dairy farm on the weekends.

As an active member of Llannefydd YFC, Emyr thrives on friendly competition and enjoys participating in all the club's activities. Emyr is a keen footballer and is the captain of Henllan under-16s football club this year.

In the near future, Emyr hopes to study an A-level in Welsh, Geography and Mathematics  before progressing to study a mathematics degree at university. He is also open to the possibility of an apprenticeship and hopes that the Agri Academy will open doors and help him decide on a suitable path. A recent careers fair sparked Emyr's interest in the finance sector, particularly agricultural finance in Wales. This conversation with bank representatives, coupled with work experience at a local accounting firm, solidified his desire for a career that blends finance and agriculture.
