Aled Thomas

Aled Thomas is currently studying for his A levels at Ysgol Bro Dinefwr in Llandeilo.  He lives at home with his family on a council owned sheep farm in Llangadog.  He helps out with all tasks on the farm and has a particular interest in looking after his own flock of pedigree Beltex sheep.  He also loves showing horses for his father and other breeders at local and national shows. 

Aled has undertaken a number of work experience placements ranging from helping out a local farm equipment company to acquiring some very useful plumbing skills!   However, the role he most enjoyed was working for an agricultural consultancy, and he hopes this is where his future career takes him. Aled believes that innovation, diversification and efficiency are going to be critical, so the role of agricultural consultants will be vital if farm businesses are to succeed, flourish and prosper.
