The third window for Expressions of Interest (EOI) in Glastir Woodland Creation will open on 30 August 2016 and close at midnight 14 October 2016.

The Glastir Woodland Creation scheme provides financial support for new planting. Financial support is also available for planting trees in areas that continue to be grazed as part of an Agroforestry system i.e combining agriculture and forestry.

Given current uncertainty regarding future funding, once the UK leaves the European Union, we cannot, presently, guarantee the offer of income foregone and maintenance payments. As such, the Welsh Government can only guarantee the offer of establishment and associated capital works payments. A budget of £1.7m has been allocated for this. Updates will be made available when the Welsh Government receives further information concerning future funding.

To be eligible to express an interest under the third window you will need to ensure that you are able to complete all capital works and planting by 31 March 2018.

The Glastir Woodland Creation EOI must be submitted through RPW Online. If you are not yet registered with RPW Online and do not have an activation code, please call the Customer Contract Centre on 0300 062 5004 as soon as possible.

If you have any enquiries regarding the Glastir Woodland Creation scheme please call the Customer Contract Centre or email RPWOnline@wales.gsi.gov.uk

The Glastir Woodland Creation woodland opportunities map, which shows all the constraints and sensitivities connected with a new planting site, is available on the Lle Website. How to guidance can be found within the documents on the Welsh Government website.
