DURING times of uncertainty and lowered business confidence, along with continued volatility in agriculture, it is increasingly important for farm businesses to plan ahead and make sound decisions. Developing a better understanding of rural banking services is also important for farm enterprises.

To help facilitate decision making and understand the need for forward planning, Farming Connect has organised a series of practical, interactive workshops, focusing on example case studies relating to expanding or contracting a business, capital expenditure, diversification and risk mitigation. Attendees will also get the chance to put themselves in the shoes of their bank and make decisions for funding on the case studies.

Six workshops will be held across Wales in January and February, delivered by Nigel Davies, of Promar. Other speakers will also discuss financial control, budgeting, calculating business performance, bank lending and debt restructuring.
